Finally finished it! This is a picture for my friend's birthday... which was last Feburary *cough* Yeh, a little late...
I was going to put this is scraps but last minute I decided not to, because it did take many hours to do, after all. The reason why I was going to just put it in scraps is because I don't really see it as my own picture. I can't draw people. The people in this picture were actually copied. No, I didn't trace, but I copied the pose and style and everything almost exactly because I'm not good enough to draw my own people yet. Therefore, these are not my interpretations of people, nor is it in my own style. That's why I'm not very proud of calling it my own.
I actually drew this about half a year ago, and I have gotten better at drawing people independantly since then.
Another thing I don't really like is some of the colouring. I haven't coloured anything in such a long time, and my style keep changing for every character I coloured, heh. However, I do currently like the look that the burn and dodge tools give to a picture, I really do, that's why this one is burnt so much.
That aside, it's simply a picture of my friend surrounded by characters from two of her favourite anime, namely InuYasha and Fruits Basket.
It looks fantastic! I'm sure she'll looove it! And as for the exact reference to pose etc everyone does that It's how we learn. I can't draw unless I have a reference or unless I fluke it. Even waaayyy back centuries ago people used references ^_^ Books or first hand reference.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
